ba9cded6d3reorganized dclxvi to be easier to work with (and make sure it compiles as expected; I was able to figure out how to compile it without resorting to the approach the BGN2 people had done with trying to use gcc-5 or anything

a26382c9ceundoing edits made by the BGN2 folks (can be reverted if necessary but as far as I can tell, it was mostly cruft around some debugging they were doing and playing with maybe using more bits (but it's not clear that it would've worked considering, like... I don't think they changed the curve itself?))
